I have never experienced such a neglectful hospital in my entire life. Extremely unprofessional staff, immature medical professionals, and sick, ignored citizens.I watched the staff leave their office and not come back for over an hour. I am reporting this.

My cousin was there and got pregnant from another person in treatment. Absolutely disgusting they let that happen there. Highly would recommend to stay away

This place has been the best this far as per treatments I've been to, while there is very unwell people here there are quite a few people who have been very successful here I'm here at the moment and while I was at children's to have my baby they did not take my child unfairly

This place is excellent!! The staff is caring and attentive! Definitely five star! Dealing with someone who has been suffering with mental illness and or drug addiction, takes a great deal of skill and patience! I have personally visited the hospital and I very grateful for the help a dear friend received!Unfortunately, there will always be people who don't want to seek treatment and will be resistant.

I wouldn't send my dog to Dartmouth General. They break patients rights constantly. Watch the movie one who flew over cuckoo nest and you'll know what this hospital is about. Btw don't trip over the mice when you there, they run rampid.

Worst treatment center I have ever been to. The employees think it is okay to threaten residents who set clear boundaries about how they want to be treated. Then sweep it under the rug, and make it seem like the resident is the problem. W no acknowledgement of having done wrong, no follow up w the client after a complaint. I talked to my nurse, my doctor, I wrote a letter to the patient Care Co Ordinator and CC'd management - Nothing. No reprimand, no compassionate care training, not even an apology was made. People w huge mental hurdles are being kicked out due to their relationship to a client who definitely did not follow the rules and was understandably booted. Clients being forceably tackled down and medicated against their will when there was clearly a non violent solution available in the form of higher supervision and maybe like a hug in their distressed state. The employees treating this like just another job really gets to me. Complacency kills, and when the red tape forces clients into high risk behaviours; you can see why we've already had more than 2 deaths from OD at a place meant to treat co-morbid deficiencies in mental health and addictions.

This place is no good. Don't believe what they tell you. Its basically a prison camp. locked doors, nurses and managers behind plex glass all day. They need to have boots on the ground approach, counseling the people that need it instead of playing on their phones all day long.

Staff are for the most part amazing! The administration is beyond a disgrace! It is only possible for these people to keep their jobs as it is a joint venture between so many partners that no one really knows what is going on. It is a shame because some of the First Nation partners are models of how to function independently and any one of them could instantly make this place functional if given sole authority. As it is it just detracts from their achievements as a people because the government protects incompetence.Perhaps you would like to complain about that. Well comments all go directly to the CEO. There is no other way to comment anonymously.Their latest report highlights staff retention but doesn't mention that all of the paramedics and many nurses were suddenly fired and then reinstated after it was found to be unjustifiable. At last check all of the doctors where not licensable elsewhere in Canada. This is supposed to be because they can't hire fully licensed doctors but they have done so in the past and they have all left due to administrative interference or intimidation. Simply put they use this to have absolute control over their doctors and nothing else. The people and communities are great as are many of the staff but administrativly it must move at least into the 1980s or these wonderful people will always be short changed
