I’ve been in the process of transferring my pension from HOOPP to OMERS. I’m so grateful I can speak and read English & I’m good with computers because this has been the most difficult and tedious process. I’ve had a rude phone attendant and so many documents sent digitally that are difficult to understand and fill out properly. I’ve gone back and forth for months when it should’ve taken 1 day of filling out forms and processing. I’ve also been sent forms that are locked so you can’t fill them out digitally but then you’re told to upload them digitally. It makes absolutely no sense and I feel terrible for the people who are not comfortable using online forms because it’s going to be a huge struggle for them. Omers needs to simplify their process and improve their customer service and communication.

I have been a client of Soben for almost 2 decades. The staff is compassionate and knowledgeable. Being diabetic for most my life, they have walked me step by step to ensure I fill out the correct paperwork and notify me if something is missing or incorrect. If people are upset it's because they don't ask questions and/or read their benefit guide. I specifically want to shout out to Sean who has always made the time to speak to me and process all my claims in a timely manner.

They would rather argue with you than come up with a solution during a pandemic. Horrible customer service skills! DNR!

I have dealt with OMERS over the last few days and man what an amazing company. Each and every person I talked to on the phone was overly helpful and patient. I cannot believe the cheerful nature of every person and felt very taken care of. MyOMERS the online portal works perfectly and changes can be made without any usual nonsense. Congratulations OMERS and your management for obviously being a great employer but also for taking care of your clients. Thank you thank you thank you...Would give 10 Stars if it possible.
