Culinary school

I am delighted to be part of this institute , I am a Pastry chef lecture , specialise in Breads, Pastries, chocolate works, sugar works, paste and dough base products, Biscuits, pies , Laminated doughs, platted desserts , ice creams an Sorbets . Also good with class room presentation , I conduct exams and mark them , do my own orders, stock take and keep a keen eye on cleaning and hygiene . I've purchased a decent amount of kitchen equipment here, from cast iron and crepe pans, to knives, to a coffee grinder, and was going out of my way to shop local.Unfortunately, after my last visit I'll not return. The sales associate was giving such factually incorrect information to an older customer that it was clear she was just trying to sell a new set of knives. To clarify, a good knive DOES NOT have a 10-15 year life span. Cared for knives will outlast you. If the handle is solid, the blade straight, and the steel rust free, it might need a professional sharpening but that's about it.

LOVE this place. Loved it the first time I walked in and the love affair continues to this day. Great staff, great selection, great displays, just a great spot.

I really enjoyed the experience working together in the kitchen with my colleagues at The Chef Upstairs. Matt and his support staff were super friendly and made the challenge" really fun! I learned a few new tricks in the kitchen. Each course was unique

We had a birthday party for our 5 year old and the kids had an amazing time, they were all super engaged making the cake and decorating cupcakes. The attendants were kind and super patient and led the way for all the activities. We all had a great time. We had this party over the summer but given the place and location it would be perfect for a winter party :) - Highly recommended!

Great work team building activity! Delicious food with leftovers to take home. Owner and her parents are lovely. Highly recommend.

Had fun on my first virtual cooking class. It’s so nice that The London Chef prepared all the ingredients for pick up. Our dinner was so delicious. I’ll sign up for another session soon.

Do not recommend booking with penthouse catering. The chef was incredibly rude and was not very accommodating. I was personally attacked when I requested a refund (even a day after the issue was resolved). See photos attached.Even if I was on the wrong side of this argument personally attacking someone and beating a dead horse is the exact opposite of what customer service is.If you're reading this, I really hope you learn how to deal with customers in a friendly matter.Judging by the amount of similar reviews who are saying the same thing, it's kind of astonishing how the chef still thinks nothing is wrong with the way he deals with customers.
