We went to the Easter event on the 8th, due to the previous Christmas event cancelled, they gave us free admission tickets. And it was a fun event, people there are nice and friendly. Most likely they are senior people work as volunteers. And plenty of activities, face painting, jumping castles, carriage ride, little train ride, nothing cost a penny. My son and me were really enjoyed it. We can tell it is a non- profit organization. As I saw a lot of bad reviews about the cancellation. And bad words towards it, it is really unfair. The weather is something hard to control, also we could tell the train is old they do need maintenance sometimes. We should give them more patience and understanding. Our local people suppose to support local businesses.

We booked tickets for the 2022 Santa train which was cancelled due to issues with the train. Since then they have had the worst follow up in order to rectify this even though a full refund was never requested. Initially we requested just a refund of a child's ticket - email was never responded to. Then a follow up was completed to request a different day/confirm the new day and this email was never responded to as well. Since then another 3 emails have been sent with the information they are seeking which included new requested dates for the train in 2023 winter and for the Easter event which were to be provided as well and still no response after weeks. A voicemail has also been left with a request to respond to my emails and I haven't heard back from this either.Last year (2021 cookies with ms Claus) we also were never informed they wouldn't eat cookies on board with ms Claus as well as the.lights were out at the north pole when we arrived so the kids didn't see anything). They never offered anything to compensate for this so I figured I would try again in 2022 with hopes for a better experience. After these two experiences I will never book with them again. The fact that they still haven't offered anything for 4 tickets after canceling the train over 3 months ago is horrible customer service.I understand things have happened but you should be reaching out to your customers as you would want us to return in the future and this experience will cause alot of us to not returnIt is now June 27 and even after this review was written I have not heard from this company. They have not offered me anything for future events. I have also sent another email and they still didn't respond.

Felt like cheated when we arrived at the location. Kids bouncy castle passes were for $25 and tokens for $3. Some bouncy castles require 2 tokens and some required 3 tokens. At the time of booking the website mentioned ground pass in it. What’s the point of including ground pass if kids have to pay for the fun additionally. Website should mention it clearly that bouncy castle costs $25 on top of train rides. Overall a below par experience of slow train ride and worn out facility.

Great mini train/toy train experience. They have plenty of thematic rides for fall and winter season. Most experience is for 2hrs on weekends and wednesdays, which serve on board High tea or lunch. Right trip to experience Fall colors. Can go with family, friends or colleagues.

We went there with the kids for egg hunt on Easter.Every year we go for a train ride to celebrate Easter. This was one of the boring train rides .No easter vibes at all . No music on the train , all the kids were on the phone . The train doesn't stop for egg hunting .They had some bouncy castle at enterance and that was only the good part where kids enjoy a little .On road there was a train ride too it was attractive but again boring .

I did the father's day wild west and the food was the best part of the entire experience. They offered brisket and pulled pork with mac and cheese and potato salad and all of it was hot and tasty. It wasn't advertised what would be served so this exceeded expectations. What was underwhelming was the rodeo and train ride. The rodeo had 2 horses in a small pen that stood on pedestals and there was some quick rope tricks and a whip demonstration. In my opinion it was lack luster and not very entertaining. The train ride provided exactly what was advertised at the mimum viable effort required to not be considered false advertising. We were to be robbed during the train ride and that's the only thing that happened. 4 people, some dressed up in western clothes, others just bandanas, said this is a train robbery and then walked up to each person asking for money (goes to charity). This took place over 5 minutes and then they walked around chatting with riders and took pictures with them. The other 55 minutes of the ride we just sat and chatted and looked at the trees since that is all you can see out the windows until you reached the end overlooking a swamp.I understand this is a non profit, but I can't recommend this to anyone I know. I'm likely not the target audience for this kind of experience as a young adult, as it appears to be geared more towards seniors and families with very young kids.At least I got to spend quality time with my dad.

My partner surprised me with high train tea. It was great. Friendly staff, great food, and the slow train ride was pleasant.

This place is a scam. Purchased tickets for the Christmas event spent over $200 as a group with our friends and it was cancelled for the rest of the year the next day. No refunds. We were offered to attend an Easter event and promised other events which are all worth less than what we paid. We drove 30 mins with our toddlers in two separate cars today for the event which we booked, sign on the door that it was cancelled without any notice to us. I don’t trust this company they are a waste of time and money at this point and I can’t believe they get away with treating their paying customers like this. They should be embarrassed.Your responses indicate a thousand people would have showed up had no one gotten the email. So you’re meaning to tell us that you sold that many tickets and simply just moved all those people to Easter weekend? How will you accommodate that many people? and you charge people $19.99 to change their booking dates. But when you change us we are still offered no refund…Still no apology to anyone. You need to do better.

Went to the Fathers day train ride today. Gotta say, the # of staff and volunteers is not that high but even then, the day was great and the steps they took to make this a memorable day didnt go unnoticed. Ended with us having lunch on picnic benches in a cowboy themed park setting with saloon / rag music playing in the background. Lunch was brisket, pulled pork, a bun, pickles, lemonade or iced tea and dessert. They had a mini rodeo show too. The train ride was close to an hour. The interiors are clean with alot of space. During the ride we were greeted by cowboys and robbers. We were robbed of $5 :)....rather we donated the $5.The entire event was organized very well and we'll go back during Christmas for another ride.

Attended the Strawberry Tea today on the 2pm booking. Generally speaking, the experience was fun and the effort to decorate the railway cars and provide a high tea experience was good. Staff were cordial and friendly.A few things to note - the tables are very tight. As 2 people booked in car 104, two other random guests were seated with us, which can be expected since the tables seat 4 people total and those 2 other tickets would have been available to others to purchase. Had we realized how tight the tables were, we would have just purchased a 3rd ticket to ensure we had the table to ourselves (or increased the likelihood of that happening). The food served was delicious - chicken salad sandwiches on a croissant, fresh baked scones and jams, desserts etc. No complaints about the food at all. My only complaint is that we were more than half-way into a hour trip before we were able to get tea or coffee. There should be more staff serving to ensure that guests are served faster. It was difficult to flag people down since it appeared that staff were serving multiple cars at once so they were clearly stretched thin. It's hard to eat without having a beverage to go with, so a little more attention to getting the tea and coffee out faster would be appreciated.Over all, it was a fun and quick trip, we had been wanting to check out the train for a few years as local residents, and the Strawberry Tea was an appealing way to experience it.
