MEP just like fat sugar lacking spoiled kid right away contacting and demanding moneyInform them I’m on Alberta low income assistance making $530. A month. Living in my car or friends couchesUnable to work because of mental health issues. Hence being on low income assistance yet Even thenAlberta Maintenance program. And Alberta Supports are both …….. ALBERTA programs. Yet no desire or want to look into sister company and see I was indeed telling truth. So instead fast forward. I’m supposedly to pay well over $2000.00 per month. Yet been off work for years and ex had been working more than me With financial hand outs from relatives, church , government. So out of $530.00. Supposed to buy food , shelter , basic necessities , car insurance etc and $2000.00 Plus per month. Retroactive 8 months. Just because madam Justice jufdge must’ve felt Powerful so Now my licences registrations etc Cancelled and oweing horendous amount of money while ex and her 2Adult sons MILK the government and church’s to make sure they don’t have to wipe their Own Hiny That someone else will do it for them. But if She says well then there’s more he’ll to pay Women fought for equality years ago. Now the expect equality when it works best for them. Otherwise they just wantIt ALL

Easily one of the worst run govt agencies there are in the province. I'm not a disgruntled victim here. But I will warn you they can't answer simple questions, impose all types of fines and can't answer why they being charged. Keep every document because they don't keep any on there end and you will have to dispute or prove you did what you needed to do at the right time. They call and ask for personal info updates on back to back days. From some research, they can't keep any employees for a reasonable amount of time so they are always on a learning curve whole somep peoples lives canbe altered by inexcusable errors. Be ware and approach with the utmost common. You're dealing with a flawed agency.

Worst service I've ever dealt with in my life. All they do is charge you fee after fee like that's gonna help you make more child support payments. I was mailed an order to complete am assessment of finances within 2 weeks otherwise suffer a 200 dollar late penalty. I work out of town and am only in the province 1 week out of the month so that makes it difficult for me to operate under their time table. So of course I've put in 3 or 4 call back requests and still haven't heard from them almost 3 weeks later now. What a joke. The government definitely needs to clean house and come up with a better service.

The people work very hard to help find the best way for the debtor's to find a reasonable way to pay what is owed. I am sure they deal with all manner disrespect. They deserve respect for the difficult job they do. I appreciate it. Had nothing but good experiences.

Couldn't make my Child Support payment on January 1st because the lack of hours and work during Christmas. I had my kids for a week during Christmas as well! January 14th, they send me an email threatening my credit. Like parents need this extra stress in life!

Absolutely garbage service. Have been trying to reach my caseworker for days. Constantly unavailable. Call back requests can take up to 5 business days which is absolutely unacceptable. When you try to talk to an operator on the phone all they do is tell you to log into the website and submit a call back request. The first time i called they submitted it for me but on subsequent calls would refuse to do so and told me my only option was to go to the website. Never have I dealt with a more unhelpful and poorly run organization.

I was having trouble communicating and connecting with one of the agents, than spent some time reading those reviews. Now I understand all my efforts were useless. This agency people are working as they want, unprofessional, unhelpful, a waste of my tax money. Borderline to scam. Thief!

I work in health care, and its becoming alarming the amount of suicides I've gone to that appear money and especially MEP related. I think if a reporter was looking to make their career with a story, they should look into suicides connected to certain case workers. I guarantee you will save lives making that, improve the system in a way that allows society to function more effectively, and save many lives PER YEAR - while making one of the most ground breaking stories of our time. This is an epidemic at this point.

Today (May 31 10:19 am) I got a callback from Samira, and she was very patience and understanding, explaining exactly why our family owe money. I mean this associate went out of her way to do math, because my computer screen did not display the full total. Compassion and empathy goes a long a way and this goes both ways!!

Terrible service, cant follow my court order, they interpret it as they seem fit but my order is very clear in understanding. Tells me that the service is a resource when ex's can't communicate effectively but then in their next breath tell me to contact my ex to call them to correct something. My case worker seems good but the managers I spoke with were condescending and rude, like they were above me somehow.
